health update
So, according to my neurologist yesterday, I'm not alone. There are others that are coming to light that have my exact symptoms, but they don't know what it is, how to treat it, or do anything other than manage the symptoms.
Except now I can't use painkillers because they are probably killing my liver. So I just get to bury my head in a pillow when it gets bad.
Fun.

The Van Saga Continues
Ok, so you all know the story so far. Here's where we are now.
Our new white van WILL be fixed.
The guy we took it to for the transmission is apparently a rip off artist. We asked for a quote and when the quote was too much for those willing to help us (plus our friend in the auto business kind of freaked out) we told them "No Thanks, we're coming to get it", only to find out that they had COMPLETELY disassembled the transmission - literally, taken it completely apart. Then charged us $500 for making it more broken. So at the moment it sits on the car lot of our friend, with the transmission parts in the back, waiting for us to find a new transmission for it (since the old one can't even be rebuilt, that's how bad they wrecked it.)

The ongoing van saga
So here's an update...
The van will be fixed. Don't know when because we live in the middle of nowhere and parts are hard to come by, but as soon as parts are found, it will be fixed.
In the mean time, our generous church family is purchasing another, similar, though not as good quality, van for us to use until ours is fixed. When it is, the church may decide to keep the van, but more than likely will resell it. My presumption is that we would put some effort into cleaning and "nice-ening" this loaner so they can re-coup their expense and then some.
How all this is being paid for, I don't know, since we don't have the money. And everyone involved knows that. We don't want charity and my hope is we can work out something, but everyone keeps saying "don't worry about it right now".
Clear as mud? Yea, me too.
