An Artistic Touch
I thought this came out pretty good. The color of her eyes has not been altered, I just took the color out of everything else. What do you think?

Parent-Teacher Conferences
I have to brag on the kids. That's kind of the point of this blog.
Today we had Parent/Teacher conferences with the grade-schoolers. I stopped worrying about how they adjusted from home school to public school last year when they came home with straight A's after the first quarter, but they continue to amaze me with their performance.
Miss G is the top of her class. Her teacher has made her the tutor to help other kids that are struggling. Miss G's gentle nature (when she's not mad!) makes her a natural teacher and she patiently helps them along.
Mr I is reading books that most people don't pick up until they get to college! His teacher can't seem to give him enough to read. He's basically tested out three grade level ahead of where he is.
Miss D is going to be a doctor. Or a lawyer. Or some other genius type. That's according to her teacher. Miss D is testing out on math at the 12th grade level and, though she inherited her father's spelling ability, is able to write and articulate herself well beyond grade school level.
You know, I don't normally like being rude, but to all those who kept saying home school was a mistake and a cop out, I never did say "I told you so". So I'll say it now... oh wait, I already did.

Ok, as mentioned in the previous two posts, here are the new videos. To view them you must be logged into YouTube and you must have been added by me as a "friend" in YouTube. If you want to see them, email me (or MySpace or Facebook or comment here) and let me know your email and YouTube username.

So I Lied
YouTube is evil. That's all there is to it.
I had to take the new videos down because they were too long, even though YouTube doesn't tell you up front how long your videos have to be. I have to re-segment them into less than 10 minutes each.
Also, I can't let someone view the videos just by adding their email to my friends list, though it makes it look like I can. So what you'll have to do is log into youtube, then add me a a friend, then i add you as a friend, then i have to go into each and every video to add you. Stupid. But it's the only way to share them, so that's what we have to do.
So, log in to http://www.youtube.com. Create an account (if you already have a Google account you can log in with that). Then look up "theandersnebunch" (notice the "n" and "e" at the end of Andersen are transposed. I didn't catch that until I had a bunch of videos loaded and it was too much of a hassle to fix it.) You can get directly to the right channel by going to http://www.youtube.com/user/theandersnebunch. From there you can subscribe and add me as a friend. I'll get the message and return the favor then you can view the private videos.
I'm thinking it would almost be easier to start my own cable network....

Changes to Videos
Due to issues with YouTube, I have set all the videos to private. In order to view them you will need to be logged into YouTube or Google. If you are logged in and still can't see the videos, please email me and let me know. I will double check your "friend" status and be sure you can view the videos. Check you junk mail folder for an email from YouTube inviting you to become a "friend".

A Sneak Peak
I put off compiling the home videos, now I'm two years behind. I've been working at getting the video and pictures from 2007 compiled into a digestible package. (I have more than 18 hours of video and nearly 1000 pictures - much of which is really REALLY boring.) It's a slow process because a) my computer is wimpy, 2)I don't concentrate very well, and d) I don't concentrate very well. But I'm slowing getting it done. Here's the intro I put together:
