An Update to all my friends and my dear family

Hi everyone! I know it's been a long while since I've posted any news, I'm sorry. The chaos of moving and all that jazz really took a toll on my health and I've been spending my time just trying to get by.

I really wish I had something to post in that department. Unfortunately, we've been fighting with the insurance company trying to get switched over from the company paid plan to the self paid plan. It's been a huge hassle and right now I have NO insurance, which is really bad. My new neurologist wants to run a bunch of new tests, but that's a lot of money that I don't have. Hopefully we'll have it straightened out soon and we can start moving forward again. Until then, I am still dealing with crippling headaches and all that goes along with that.

Anna is doing well, all things considered. Given that she always has her babies at least a month early, she could go at any time. If I were a betting man, I would say it will probably be this weekend. For those of you who want to know about the sex and such, highlight the following block of text. To do so, click on the "-", hold your mouse button down and drag it to the next "-". If you do not want to know, scroll down to continue.

-It's a girl! We are thinking about naming her Ruth, or Ruth-Ann. We're still undecided as to the middle name. When we found out we were expecting again, I was already having health issues and a few months later we had to deal with the whole moving thing. It was a really rough time, and continues to be a rough time, but we are trusting in the grace of God to see us through to the other side. We wanted to give God all the glory so we starting looking at names of people from Biblical history that reflected that attitude. We were thinking Job if it was a boy - most of you know that story - and Ruth if it were a girl. The story of Ruth is less well known. Ruth lost her husband and her home and followed her mother-in-law to the home of her people. In the process she faced a hard time - being a stranger in a strange land, she was basically at the bottom of the economic ladder. She picked grain after the harvesters just to have enough to live. But in the end, by trusting the true God that her mother-in-law followed, she gained a new husband and much more than she lost. We know our story will turn out much the same way, so we give God the glory by honoring Him with giving our daughter a name that reflects his goodness.-

Everyone is adjusting to our new living arangement. It's really cozy right now, but once we get all the boxes unpacked it will be nice. The carpet-free floor is great, even though it's just linoleum, it looks very close to real wood. And being linoleum, everything cleans nicely. Also, since our lot is mostly sand, they are always tracking it in. We just keep the broom by the door and sweep it right back out. I know it's just a trailer, but it is a nice trailer and it's becoming more home every day.

The younger ones are doing great. Grace is "Princess Grace" at school and she rules the classroom, or at least tries to. She tells us every day that her teacher begs her to lighten up and not demand her rules, but in the end she still controls her world. Destiny and Ian are having a little trouble adjusting to the ridgid structure of public school, but grade wise they are ahead of the pack. The school thinks they have a reading problem because they have these stupid state-run computer tests, but they can read any book you put in front of them. We've started going to this library program they have on Mondays and they give us books that are meant to be read together as a family, but most of the time, Destiny and Ian run off with them and read them to everyone themselves.

They've taken all their playhouse stuff down to the lower part of our lot, down where all the trees and stuff are. There's this spot where the branches form a natural roof and makes a nice play spot for them. They've created their own little "Terabithia" down there. (If you don't know what Terabithia is, go to the library and check out "Bridge to Terabithia", you'll love it.)

Tasha, Cheni and Derek are on the point of overload. Tasha, of course, is dealing with college life. Cheni and Derek are taking all honors classes. They're doing ok, but they're doing homework ALL THE TIME! If you ask them about the new house, they'll tell you "huh?", because they always have their noses in books. On top of that, Cheni is in Chior and Derek is in ROTC and marching band.

So guess what Mom and Dad do all the time. Yep, we live in the minivan. Between practices and getting Tasha to class and my doctor's appointments, we are rarely home. As a result, we have yet to get all the boxes unpacked. But that's ok, we have too much junk the way it is. (Anyone out there want a copy of Prince's "Purple Rain" on cassette?)

So, anyway, that's the latest. My next post will probably be baby pictures!
