A general update on your favorite family.

Ok, so it's Thanksgiving break. It's Friday, and I'm ready to bury my children in shallow unmarked graves in the back yard. It's like they just don't know how to function without school. Which may be a good thing, but what am I going to do with them over Christmas break.

Some stories I may not have kept you up on. Miss G passed her penny. We had a long discussion of the difference between her instestines and a piggy bank.

Everyone is freaking out as the opening night for the play is Tuesday. We'll be so happy when this is over, but I'm excited to see the production. This is the first time we've had 4 kids in the play. Normally they do it in the spring, but this year they wanted to do A Christmas Carol, which is awesome, but has really made our fall insane. Miss D has a brief solo! Unfortunately we can't tape it, not even snippets of it, but we will try to take lots of pictures. We're thinking of sneaking in during dress rehearsal on Monday and get some good shots of everyone in their costumes.

Miss T got set up for classes for the spring semester. She's really excited to be going back. I just pray that whatever issues she's had are behind her. It's been tough for all of us, but she's taken a lot of things personally that she never should have.

We got some great video of Mr. D at one of his Rader team meets. Basically, the Rader team is the athletic arm of the JROTC and he really got into it. Some of the things they did, I was shocked! It seemed a lot more strenuous than a wrestling match or a football game! Unfortunately the team he was on didn't place, but MAN, I would have been barfing after the first event. I'll post the video once I get it encoded.

Miss C has the opportunity to go to New York. Have I mentioned this before? Her art mentor is trying to put together a trip for the top of the heap art students (of which there are only about 3 or 4 at her school). She needs to raise a lot of money, but it's a once in a lifetime opportunity. They'll be visiting every art museum they can find, plus seeing a broadway show and I don't kinow what else. She's obsessed with it! I just hope we can get 'er done for her. Her grandmother donated a quilt for an auction they are having later this month. It should bring in a lot toward her trip.

Let's see.... what else haven't I kept you up on? Well, there's me. My neurologist kind of gave up on me. The last test they did didn't help get any closer to a diagnosis. So now I'm kind of in limbo. Everyone can see that there is obviously something wrong. The MRI shows there's SOMETHING in my head. My weakness and headaches show there's SOMETHING wrong. But no one seems to know what that is. The most likely guess is MS, but without a definate diagnosis putting me on MS medicine could be dangerous. If I don't really have it it would just make me sicker. What they're looking for is something in my sinal fluid. Right now, whatever that is is "borderline". The next step is to wait a year and check my spinal fluid again. All we can do between now and then is manage the symptoms. We are talking of going to the Mayo Clinic, but we're not sure what more they could do. But then again I'm not sure now much longer I can keep going like this.

I'll have lots of pictures to post through the holidays. In the meantime there links on the left side of the screen here. I've tried to link in all our pictures that we have available. We found a couple of huge boxes of older photos that we will eventually scan in, but that's a big project and I don't know when we'll get to it, but keep checking the links now and then to see if anything exciting comes up!

Well, I'm going to go scarf some leftover turkey and pumpkin pie. Catch up to ya laters!
