Spring Break part 2

So they took the permanent jobs. Which is good, on the one hand, but with neither of them being licensed drivers and only one running vehicle between the 10 of us, on the other not so good.

The good news is, we got our tax refund. It just might be enough to finally fix the big white van. We also have a little 91 Subaru that the clutch is burned out on. The guy we bought it from at our church said he wants to fix it for us. We went through the whole "politely refuse" thing, but in all honesty we really need his help. The parts are cheap, but labor is outrageous. (We actually did have it in the shop, but the guy never fixed it, then he went out of business and disappeared and the car was locked in his shop for most of a year.... really long story, but we got it home and now it will live again.)

So, if we can get those two running, maybe we can make this work. I want it to work.

But on the other hand I'd also like to go get that 42" HDTV, a PS3, that hi-def video camera I saw.....

But on the other hand (third?), in the immortal words of one of the wisest men I know - Spock from Star Trek - "After a time, you may find that having is not so pleasing a thing, after all, as wanting. It is not logical, but it is often true."
