Things I have missed Part 1

As we scream headlong toward the end of the school year, there is a lot going on. I will do my best to share important news and pictures, but some days are better than others and I'm bound to miss some things.

Which I have. Here are some things I've neglected to mention:

The Public Library system in this area produces a twice yearly magazine called "Blended". This publication represents the best high school artists and writers in the 4 corners area. Representing all the high schools in the area, including the Navajo Nation, private, charter, and homeschools, the magazine takes in a multitude of entries from the approximately 30,000 students in the area. However, only the 20-30 best of the best make it into the magazine.

This year, Miss C made it into the magazine! Her self portrait, which I've shown here, has made quite a splash locally. This work, originally produces as a birthday gift for her mom, has been featured in many art shows and is scheduled to travel to a larger show over the summer!

Congrats, Miss C.

I talk a lot about Miss C's art, mostly because she produces such a massive amount of it. But she's not the only talented one in the family.

Miss T is coming into her own. She took an art class in college this year and really found something she can call her own. Here's an example of her work:
