October Stuff

Wow, is it really October? I guess it is. I didn't realize we were so far into the school year already, but here in New Mexico we are into the weird time of year when it's really stinking cold at night but still hot during the day. (Yesterday's temperature was in the 90s, but last night it got down to 19.)

But we like it here. We miss fall in the midwest where there are actually trees, but it's beautiful here too. When the weather is clear, we can see for hundreds of miles from our back yard. In my last post I showed you a picture I took the other day. I dont know how far away those mountains are, but they are in Colorado, north of Durango, so pretty far.

Another sign of fall is the insane schedule we keep around here. With everyone in school with their own activities and everything, it seems someone is always on the run. I don't go many places myself, but Mr. D has his ROTC and marching band, the little girls have Little Cheerleaders this week, Anna has her classes and church stuff - it's pretty nuts around here.

Nothing new to report on my health. We just don't have the money to do any more tests or see any more specialists. So until something else goes wrong, we're just in a holding pattern. Which kind of sucks, but at least we're not getting further into debt.

I wish I had some pictures or video to share, but there hasn't been anything going on to take pictures of video of. No school programs yet or anything like that. This Friday the Little Cheerleaders will do their thing at the game, so I'll tape that. Then next Friday is Homecoming, so I'll tape the marching band at that.

Miss C has been doing relatively well at college. If she can just keep the boy drama out of her life, she'd be fine, but... well, we won't go there. She has started her own blog that you can read here:

Not much else to say right now. Things are pretty much as they have always been, chaotic. I just try to stay out of the way.
