So, it's the end of the school year and we're getting the final reports from the teachers and all that fun stuff - not to mention the announcement for award ceremonies and such.
Derek has been in JROTC all year. Unlike other kids who thought they were getting an easy grade, he really got into it. Tonight is an award thing for that. Not exactly sure what he is being honored for, but it sounds like a pretty big deal.
Monday is Honors Night at the High School. Both Cheni and Derek have been invited. Cheni made National Honors Society. We're not sure - again - what exactly Derek is being awarded, but he did carry almost straight A's this year.
