Only a few days of school left before summer!
Drat.
I love my children, I really do. But I am not really looking forward to the summer. It gets too hot to send them outside, too expensive to take them anywhere (we'll still go and do stuff, just not all the time) so we end up trying to stay cool inside the house, fighting over the TV and video games, struggling to get chores done, basically being grouchy all the time.
And yea, there's a lot of things we can do for free, but mostly outside. Where it's hot.
We're trying to find a summer project everyone will enjoy. We've been talking about making our own video game. It's something everyone can get into. There's a story to write, characters to draw, dialog to record, and something for everyone to do. We don't have any illusions that it will be the next Halo, but it could be a lot of fun!
